Tech mogul Elon Musk quickly took over Twitter and established his dominance. His first task was to fire India CEO Parag Agrawal and the rest of the board. After hearing the news, netizens reacted to him firing the Indian only to now find out that Musk was relying on another desi boy who had worked at Twitter. The one who wanted was none other than Sri Ram Krishnan.
Krishnan is a renowned technologist who has previously worked with Twitter, Meta and Microsoft. During his tenure at Twitter, he built major timelines, new UI (user interface), search and audience growth. Krishnan also developed the largest Display Network, mobile advertising product at Facebook. Krishnan’s journey began in Microsoft’s Windows Azure division in 2005, when he moved to the United States at the age of 21.
As a member of 16z, he invests in early stage startups and is keenly looking for the next big thing in the cryptocurrency market. In a recent tweet, he and 16z mentioned that Elon Musk is perfect for influencing Twitter in the right way. Krishnan wrote, “Now that the news is out: I’m joining some other great people on Twitter to temporarily help @elonmusk. I (and a16z) believe this is a very important company that can have a huge impact on the world and Elon is the one who makes it happen,”. Musk will primarily leverage Krishnan’s skills in monetizing the social media platform, and has previously shared how he wants users to pay for the blue verification mark.
