Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has made a habit of embracing emerging technologies, and now they are looking to add a unique visual flair to the smartphone space.
The company has just officially launched new products in its Reno7 series of smartphones such as announced in a press release. These 5G-enabled phones are packed with aesthetics that set them apart from the competition.

First, the company uses a proprietary chemical etching and pickling process to create the frosted glass look, which they say was inspired by “crystals and snowflakes.” In addition to the unique look, Oppo says the process provides a tactile feel to the back of the phone, which improves grip.
That’s not all. The company uses the same laser imaging technology used in semiconductor manufacturing to create star trail patterns on the back of smartphones. The end result: an optical illusion of meteors cascading along the device and then gradually darkening.
Other aspects of the exterior feature wear-resistant coated ceramic and metal, adding even more visual appeal. The thickness of the body is 7.8mm, and the edges are smooth and rounded.

Of course, modern smartphones are more than just looks, the Reno7 series has a range of competitive features. There’s a 4500mAh battery that should last a full day of normal use and up to four cameras. There’s a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies, a 50MP main camera with a color temperature sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP camera dedicated to ultra-wide shots.
These new Oppo Reno7 phones are currently only available for purchase in a few Middle Eastern countries, with a global launch later on at an unannounced date.
