ChatGPT, a viral AI tool that can mimic human responses, may soon be introduced to paywalls. The tool is currently free for everyone to use. The new premium/paid version will provide users with some perks.

On ChatGPT’s official discord handle, a waitlist for a paid version of the chatbot called “ChatGPT Professional” was shared. The update includes uninterrupted windows, faster response without throttling, and double the answers than the free version.
When you sign up, you fill out a Google form that asks you various questions about what you can expect from the premium version, especially pricing. One of the questions on the form is, “At what price (monthly) do you think ChatGPT is a good deal, good value for money?”. Premium versions of the tool may be priced based on responses. The artificial intelligence tool has garnered a lot of attention since its release. Thanks to its ability to complete papers in a minute that would normally take humans hours to complete, multiple students can submit papers without doing any real work.
Edward Tian, a computer science major at Princeton University, disagrees. He developed an app that can help detect whether text is written by a person himself or with the help of ChatGPT.
The app, called ChatZero, is currently in beta, and according to its creators, the next few weeks will be spent improving the model and its analysis.
After ChatGPT received widespread attention, it was banned from public schools in New York City. Still, students can get around the ban by completing assignments at home using personal devices. The ChatZero app can be accessed on its website gptzero.me.
