Apple has unveiled its all-new HomePod, the latest iteration of its premium smart speaker package. The speaker set features exceptional sound quality as well as an updated version of Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant. The second-generation HomePod offers users a truly premium experience with enhanced acoustics in an iconic design.

The smart speaker is available to order on Apple’s online store starting today, and will be available starting February 3. According to sources, HomePod is equipped with more advanced computing audio, which can bring users an immersive experience. It also supports Spatial Audio soundtracks, bringing theater-like sound to anything you listen to.
The device can also help with various everyday tasks such as smart home automation, such as locking doors, turning lights on or off, and getting notifications when smoke is detected. HomePod also comes with a new built-in sensor for controlling temperature and humidity.
Users can control single or multiple devices by personalizing their devices for a hands-free automation experience. The device delivers deep high-frequency bass through the S7 Chipset software. Apple says the HomePod has room-sensing technology that adapts to the sound in real time based on sound reflections. However, the device only has one woofer and five tweeters, as opposed to the seven tweeters on the original model, just as the microphones have been reduced from six to four.
HomePod can recognize up to six sounds, so each family member can get a customized experience, and will be available in white and midnight. Midnight is a new colour, made from 100% recycled mesh fabric and comes with a matching braided power cord.
