Why we love Atlas Coffee Club
Atlas Coffee Club collects single-origin coffee beans from over 50 countries, roasts them in-house in Austin, Texas, and ships them to your door. This means your coffee is very fresh, which is one of the easiest ways to improve the quality of your coffee. Its coffee bags are beautiful and themed on the country of origin, plus you get a postcard about the country, as well as a postcard explaining the coffee’s tasting notes and the best way to brew it. You can choose from whole beans or ground, light-to-medium or medium-to-dark roasts – or both – one bag, two bags or even half bags if you want deliveries every two to four weeks.
All coffee subscriptions help you discover new brews and identify your favorite notes, but Atlas makes it easy to see what’s going on outside of your local Starbucks in places like Costa Rica, Papua New Guinea, and Honduras. Given the range, you might get a bag you don’t like as much as the last one, but in our years of testing, we’ve yet to get a bag that we don’t quite like.
Special Offer for Gear Readers: Get 1 year subscription wired $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access wired.com and our print magazine (if you wish). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.
