I have tested several other cases. And some that I don’t like as much as possible as above. Also, cases are very personal accessories; you might like one that I don’t. That’s what this smorgasbord is for.
Gear4 Copenhagen Case for $40: I really like the look of this case. It has a beautifully textured back and is made from 52% renewable resources and partially recycled plastic. It’s slim and has a raised lip, but I wish there was a little bumper on the camera module. It feels exposed that you can also buy it for the S22 Ultra. I also like the Denali case for the Gear4, although the grooves on the back can attract a lot of dust.
OtterBox Commuter Collection Antibacterial Cover for $40: This double-layer phone case features a removable soft inner cover and a hard outer shell that absorbs water droplets and protects your phone. The buttons are clickable, the charging port is covered, and it’s made from 35 percent recycled material. This is like a slightly smaller version of the OtterBox Defender we recommended above. Definitely choose one of the colorful options. It also works on S22 Ultra and S22+.
UAG Civilian Collection for $40: UAG sent me a ton of S22 cases, most of which were…ugly (sorry). If you’re going to cover up your expensive and beautiful phone, try making the case look good! Of the few that look good (including the Outback above), the Civilian feels durable and protective, with clickable buttons and raised edges around the screen. It also works on S22 Ultra and S22+.
Speck Presidio Perfect-Clear Case for $34: Just want a clean and simple case? This Speck does the trick. The buttons aren’t the easiest to click, but the bumper is stiff and feels solid. Just know that the lenses don’t have much protection. You can also get it for the S22 Ultra and S22+.
