Smart home and streaming deals
We love Amazon’s Echo Dots, and this kid’s version is especially cute. It has simple parental controls and comes with a year of Amazon Kids+, which includes thousands of Audible books and games, and a two-year warranty to protect it from clumsy kids.
Smart plugs are an easy way to control non-smart products you already own, and Kasa lets you do that in an affordable way. This pack gives you four plugs, each occupying an outlet, and they’re compatible with Alexa, Google, and Siri voice assistants, so you can turn them on and off hands-free.
Roku remains our favorite streaming device because its interface is so easy to understand and gives you quick access to your content. The streaming stick takes up little space and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. If you can spend a little more, the 4K Plus is our top pick, and it has a nice hands-free voice remote. Wyze makes cheap smart home products for people just getting into home automation, and we love its light bulbs. Apparently, this one has 16 million color options. Wyze’s smart plugs are also $7 off ($5 off) if you only need one instead of the four-pack linked above.
Amazon also makes a pretty solid streaming stick, if you don’t mind promoting it to Amazon Prime. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and includes a picture-in-picture feature that pulls up your security camera feed while you watch TV. Of course, it supports Alexa. This 4K Max has 2GB of RAM (the old 4K had 1.5GB) and it has 8GB of storage.
A new version of the HD 8 is available for pre-order ($100), but if you’re okay with this older model, you can save a ton of cash. Its 8-inch display is travel-friendly, and we think it does a great job streaming Netflix or gaming in the car or bed. It also has a USB-C port. For work, you might want to use something else, like a more powerful iPad.
Home Office and Phone Accessories Deals
Here’s what we think is the best webcam for most people. It does away with the original Kiyo’s ring light, but its auto white balance and color saturation are good enough that you won’t miss the feature. It also looks great out of the box, but you can play with video settings in the Razer Synapse app. The Kiyo X shoots video at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second or 720p at 60 frames per second. Best Buy also has this deal.
Got a frustratingly lacking port MacBook? The hub offers a 4K HDMI port, a MicroSD card reader, and more. However, it does take up two USB-C ports on the left side of compatible laptops. Anker indicates supported laptops on the same webpage.

The Arctis Prime, our favorite gaming headset under $100, is now under $50. You’ll get rich, expansive sound and a retractable microphone in a body that’s comfortable enough to wear all day. Plus the build quality is better than the Arctis 1 below. There’s no active noise cancellation, but the sound-isolating earcups do a good job of isolating sound.
