Wireless Earbuds Deals
The affordable price tag, instant Android pairing, and built-in Google Assistant are just a few reasons why we love the Pixel Buds A-series (8/10, WIRED recommendation). They’re a great option for Android users looking for an AirPods-like experience in terms of easy pairing, sound quality, and comfort. We weren’t impressed with their battery life, but the deal price makes up for it a bit.
We love the Beats Fit Pro (9/10, WIRED recommendation). Not only do they sound and feel better than Apple’s AirPods Pro, but they also have better battery life —and They have lower startup costs. Our resident headphone expert says the Fit Pro “is the best headphone for iOS.” This price is an all-time low.
In a world flooded with increasingly cheap and identical wireless earbuds, the Tempo 30 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) still manages to shine. They are lightweight and waterproof, but pack powerful bass. They also fit smaller ears, but that’s not always the case. Add noise cancellation and a sub-$50 price tag, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for accessible earbuds for basically anyone. Keep in mind that if you need clear wireless phone calls, you may want to upgrade a pair of “buds.”
If you’re in the market for a pair of exercise headphones, look no further. The Elite 7 Active has a super durable and comfortable design, excellent noise cancellation and transparency, and great sound. The IP57 rating means they are dust-tight and can withstand immersion in some water. The case also supports wireless charging.
Jabra has long made some of the best wireless earbuds at every price point, and these affordable Elite 3 earbuds showcase many of the company’s best features. You get an ergonomic design, a good microphone and pretty decent sound. They’re IP55 rated, so they’ll still work even if you’re sweating a lot.
These are my favorite earbuds for Android phone users because they pair quickly with all modern Android phones. They also feature a dual-driver array that delivers great bass, and a wireless charging case. Just know it’s a small deal, as they often sell for $110.
If you’re looking for noise-cancelling earbuds for work, I love these from Sony. They’re a bit bigger than other headphones, but Sony’s great tech — combined with foam eartips — make these really quiet the world, and the good mic makes it easy to hear your voice when you’re on a call.
For those who want a smart assistant built into their earbuds, Amazon’s second-generation Echo Buds are our favorite. They sound like good value for money, and they have great microphones (plus, it’s nice to be able to ask Alexa almost anything when you’re out and about with your hands occupied).
Despite their affordable price, these headphones have features you’d typically find in higher-end (and more expensive) headphones. Active noise cancellation and an emphasis on bass make them an ideal replacement for anyone who doesn’t want to spend triple-digits on fruity tech.
Headphone deals
These have been superseded by newer models, but that means Sony’s WH-1000XM4 (9/10, WIRED Recommended) flagship noise-cancelling headphones are now a good deal. They’re still excellent, with 30 hours of battery life, great sound quality, and a mic that will keep you sounding good on calls.
These headphones are among the most comfortable and affordable, with a sleek design and up to 50 hours of battery life. They also have decent microphones when you want to make a Zoom call.
Your last experience with Beats may be when they are exaggerated. But now that Apple has them, they are actually pretty good! It sounds good value for money, and the noise cancellation works well for louder environments.
If you’ve ever wanted to submerge a drone for a plane or your co-workers to chew loudly, it’s hard to find a better option than these. Noise cancellation works with mechanical keyboards and coffee shop background noise. Our favorite feature is the excellent call quality, which makes the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 a top choice for our office.
While we recommend the wireless version of this headphone, wired headphones are still a solid option—and not just because we’re a little biased. The comfortable headset is compatible with all gaming platforms, including mobile phones (if your phone doesn’t have a headphone jack, you may need a dongle). This price exceeds other discounts we track.
These are featured in our roundup of the best wireless headphones because they’re so comfortable. I hope this pairing is as slim as you’ll find in some other headphones, and it doesn’t help that they’re slightly more expensive than similar options from other brands. Still, the PX7 (8/10, recommended by WIRED) is super lightweight and very comfortable to wear. They also sound great. This price is much lower than what we’ve seen before.
speaker deals
The Echo Dot is one of my favorite smart speakers because it’s a convenient way to fill your bathroom, bedroom, or kitchen with sound. I use one in the shower and when cooking, and the small round speaker does a great job of capturing sound in three dimensions.
This special edition of the Echo Dot is designed to let parents control what their kids listen to (and can order) through the smart assistant. It comes with a year of Amazon Kids+, which includes thousands of audiobooks and other special games and features. After that, you will be charged $3 per month.
use code PRIME30 Check out for discounts. The coolest part about this speaker is that it’s hydro-powered. It’s compatible with most shower heads, and once installed, the water will do the rest. While editor Julian Chokkattu says the sound quality is passable, the convenience of never having to find a cable for your shower music may outweigh the lack of room-filling sound. Your shower singing game is about to get a major upgrade.
The Google-owned Nest makes a great speaker, especially if you prefer the onboard Google Assistant to Alexa or Siri. Nest Audio (8/10, recommended by WIRED) improves the audio quality of the original Google Home, and you can also use it to set timers, check the weather, or keep up with your favorite podcasts while you cook. Buy a pair and you can get some really great stereo.
If you just want a basic smart speaker to control your smart home devices, you’ll be happy with a smaller model like the Nest Mini. Playing music sounds great, but it’s best for more basic tasks like timers and weather.
